Healthcare Fellowship Networks builds and maintains social network sites for healthcare fellowship training programs. This site serves as our hub and as a
demonstration site for the capabilities of the power of social networking.
Our fellowship sites are private (i.e., invitation-only) and are advertiser sponsored. However we can do public and/or sponsor-free, subscription-based site if that is appropriate to a program's situation. Virtually anything the fellowship program wants.
We currently operate sites for the
American Sports Medicine Fellowship Society and the
Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation.
We believe that social media technologies, including network sites like this, offer a profound opportunity to enable professionals and, in time, their patients to interact in new ways that mimic the traditional means of interaction.
We believe that fellowship trained physicians are uniquely situated as key thought-leaders in healthcare.
We believe that promoting and supporting the participation of the best and the brightest minds in the healthcare world is a great way to foster the growth of these communication channels.
We think of our approach as
high-tech & high-touch. We actively manage all aspects of the operation of the site and any related micro-sites. We are committed to
open technologies that leave clear paths to adoption of emerging standards and avoid the costly and troublesome pitfalls of proprietary systems. Importantly, we support participating programs, based on usage by program members. We believe that this clearly aligns our interests with the programs we serve.
